It started way back in the beginning with a question, “Did God really say?” The effort to undermine the Truth of God began in the Garden of Eden when Satan approached Eve and sowed the seeds of doubt in her mind. Satan deceived her, and continues today to sow seeds of doubt in the minds of believers leading them to question their salvation. So why is that such an important mission for him? Think about it, eternal salvation is a wonderful treasure but will a person share something with others in which they themselves have doubt that they possess? What kind of salesmen or witness for The Faith would a person be if they didn’t believe in the product? That is a major problem which undermines Jesus’ Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.
